Polish American Aid Organization – Supporting Those in Need
Over 65 years ago, a dedicated group of Polish-American philanthropists came together to support World War II heroes who had immigrated to the United States to escape communism. Today, a new generation continues this mission, providing assistance to individuals facing poverty, mental or physical illness, or other crises.
While the original focus was on post-WWII refugees, most current aid recipients are more recent immigrants. Through generous support, the organization helps provide basic necessities such as housing, food, and healthcare, ensuring that both newcomers and elderly community members can live with stability and dignity.
Although most activities are centered in the New York metropolitan area, support is increasingly extended to individuals across the United States.
